The Collaboration Core manages building operations for the Molecular Engineering & Sciences (MolES) building and the Nanoengineering & Sciences (NanoES) building, where its offices are located. Built in 2017, the NanoES building is seamlessly connected to the MolES building, which opened in 2012. Both buildings were specifically designed to promote interdisciplinary research.
The basement of MolES – NanoES features the largest vibration-free laboratory on the west coast. This space is occupied by numerous sensitive instruments that require limited exposure to vibrations and electromagnetic interference.
